These are the terms for using theoremEd. Plain language, on purpose — the privacy policy covers what data is involved.
What theoremEd is
theoremEd is a study tool. It looks at a problem you show it and asks you questions to help you find your own way to the answer. It is not a teacher, not a tutoring service with a person behind it, and not a substitute for instruction from your school.
No guarantee it's right
theoremEd is built on an AI model, and AI models make mistakes. It can misread a problem, ask a question that doesn't quite fit, or be wrong about something. Check your work against your class materials and your teacher, especially for anything graded. theoremEd is provided "as is," with no guarantee that its output is accurate, complete, or fit for a particular assignment or exam.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for following your own school's rules on calculators, outside help, and AI tools. theoremEd refusing to give direct answers is meant to keep it on the right side of most academic honesty policies, but you still need to check what your teacher or school allows before using it on graded work.
Who this is for
theoremEd is meant for students who can decide for themselves whether to use a study tool, generally middle school age and up. If a school or parent has told you not to use outside study tools, that rule comes first.
No accounts, so nothing to keep secure but your code
theoremEd doesn't have passwords or logins, but if you're on a paid plan, don't share your access code. Anyone who has it can use it, and it counts against your usage.
Fair use of the free tier
The free tier exists so any student can try theoremEd without a card or an account. Trying to get around its limits — scripting requests, generating codes automatically, or anything along those lines — isn't allowed, and access can be cut off for it.
Limitation of liability
theoremEd is a free or low-cost tool built by a student, not a company with a support department. To the extent the law allows it, theoremEd and its creator aren't liable for grades, missed assignments, or any other outcome connected to using it. Use it as one input among many, not the only one.
Changes
These terms can change as theoremEd does. If they do, the date at the top changes with them.
