Inequalities
Almost the same as an equation
Add, subtract, multiply and divide as usual, and the inequality holds.
The one exception
Multiplying or dividing by a negative flips the sign. −2x < 6 becomes x > −3.
Showing the answer
An open circle for < and >, a filled one for ≤ and ≥. In interval notation, ( ) excludes and [ ] includes.
